(2009-05-27) Unattended Install Of ILM

Posted by Jorge on 2009-05-27

Always been interested in doing an unattended install of ILM? This is how you can do it!

<!!!THIS IS NOT SUPPORTED!!!>

As Craig Martin mentions in the source below: "I’ve been using this for a while and have not had any issues with it. It saves me a LOT of time when getting ILM environments stood up. If you use this and encounter issues, you should repro using the UI before contacting PSS"

</!!!THIS IS NOT SUPPORTED!!!>

msiexec /q /i "d:ILM_SetupMicrosoft Identity Integration Server.msi" serviceaccount=ILMSVC servicepassword=MYPASSWORD servicedomain=MYDOMAIN storeserver=localhost groupadmins=MIISAdmins groupoperators=MIISOperators groupaccountjoiners=MIISJoiners groupbrowse=MIISBrowse grouppasswordset=MIISPasswordSet PIDKEY=MYILMKEY

If the groups you are using are domain-wide, then do not forget to specify the name of the AD domain, such as:

  • groupadmins=ADCORPMIISAdmins
  • groupoperators=ADCORPMIISOperators
  • groupaccountjoiners=ADCORPMIISJoiners
  • groupbrowse=ADCORPMIISBrowse
  • grouppasswordset=ADCORPMIISPasswordSet

I got this one from Craig Martin, a fellow MVP (ILM) and colleague in the USA! Credits go to Craig of course!
